Temps in the 50s with a frost warning in the forecast.
I know I’ve already celebrated one Thanksgiving, but some occasions are worth celebrating twice — especially if there’ food involved.
The restaurant here at the hotel is closed today, and so I went up the hill to the Waffle House and had one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time — A ten-once rib eye ($7.95), but it was so tender and juicy! I don’t see how they get it so tender. I’ve had the same cut elsewhere, and it was as tough as shoe leather.
Otherwise, I stayed in and worked. I think I am the only one in residence, for I haven’t seen another soul all day. It’s very peaceful, and, as I have said, ideal for writing.
After all the care I took packing, I somehow forgot short-sleeve shirts. Oh well, it has been to cool for those, anyway, and I can get by with ‘T’ shirts until I get into town.
More next time.
