Things are organized here on Ambergris. Oh, you might not think so from the ripped-up sidewalks, the double parked golf carts, and the more-recent piles of gravel on the walkway, but otherwise there is a weird sort of organization.
Here at the hotel we have two shifts. A bunch of predominantly women who hoot, screech, and giggle until 6:00 AM, and another group that gets up at 6:00 AM for a good ole chat on the veranda (…right outside my window.)
Given that they go out for breakfast after this, I can’t understand why they don’t carry on over a cup of coffee. Mind you, the restaurant doesn’t open until 7:00, so that might explain it.
I’ve made arrangements to pick up my !@#$%^%$# shoes today … The $147CDN shoes that I have to spend another $15BZD to pick up as well. Apparently organization of things beyond making noise doesn’t extend to delivery companies.
It is another beautiful day, though, with the thermometer touching 30C, but I just paid $407 to “Blunder Woman” for (electric) heat, and $175 for snow removal.
My friend Rob Reid of Swisssh Radio was kind enough to voice the new commercial for Two Irish Lads: Second Edition. It’s attached below, so give a listen. 🙂
